About Ann Simmons

Ann Simmons is an experienced hospital and corporate chaplain.  She is a certified end of life doula and volunteers with hospice care. She has always been a caring companion for people who are going through difficult life transitions, “listening with the ear of the heart.”

An inspirational moment occurred for her when Toby Campbell, a top palliative care doctor in WI, called out to her, “Chaplain! You need to understand the space between to be a good chaplain.”

This is how my services earned the name, The Space Between.

I understand “the space between” to be more than just between life and death. Inclusiveness and meeting people where they are is key to my compassionate work.
